I really recommend Birdking, especially the Trumpets of Doom edition (shameless hype!)

Mr. Read is growing and developing as a person and musician, and I'm looking forward to his next release.Lord Bassington-Bassingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02879057924117948109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6921236871306185015.post-68043166030882570962009-12-08T09:59:53.036+01:002009-12-08T09:59:53.036+01:00From what I can hear from these two clips, Fire + ...From what I can hear from these two clips, Fire + Ice are much better live than in the studio,Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480053408453203814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6921236871306185015.post-34628778152356581072009-11-27T09:26:20.129+01:002009-11-27T09:26:20.129+01:00hmmmm...OK.hmmmm...OK.Tini Mhttp://tinimalitius.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6921236871306185015.post-48948701593330258342009-11-27T08:52:39.455+01:002009-11-27T08:52:39.455+01:00Oooh, this is great! This is one of the attractions for me as well, for even if I don't believe in anything transcendent anymore (a complicated discussion…) I both have a past as a Heathen and of course life-long interest in pre-Christian Nordic culture. And I find that these points of reference certainly make me appreciate Fire + Ice more. But they shouldn’t overshadow Mr. Read’s musical talents completely, I think.

Being present at the concert in Halle sounds great. Eastern Germany is wonderful in many ways – I especially appreciate the dialects!Lord Bassington-Bassingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02879057924117948109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6921236871306185015.post-65505100435711813142009-11-26T18:28:41.375+01:002009-11-26T18:28:41.375+01:00I've been there, in Halle an der Saale. It'...I've been there, in Halle an der Saale. It's been a great concert! However, though I always liked Ian Read's voice and the medieval / traditional sound of Fire + Ice, I have to admit that the musical aspect was never my main interest whilst listening to that band. I've always looked for the keys that open doors to Runic knowledge that are scattered all over the albums of Fire + Ice. There haven't been many bands that have influenced me on such a fundamental level.Matthias (Matt Anon)http://www.elhazablaze.com/noreply@blogger.com
